Description
Faulkner’s Cornfield Bean
Originally collected by Brook Elliott from Louise Bennett who inherited them from her mother, Mildie Faulkner who received them as a wedding gift in 1931. A wonderful rare heirloom variety from Kentucky. This is a wonderful pole bean with multi colored seed. Pods are green but most will develop some minor red-maroon specks or streaks. Be sure to stake your vines well. They can reach heights up to 6 feet tall and are very productive. These could be used for canning, cooking, or snapping. If you like Faulkner’s Cornfield Bean, you may like Kermits Smoky Mountain Bean. (15 seeds)
