The flavor is very well-balanced but yet complexed, not being too sweet or acidic. Brandywine Pink Tomato – This is an Amish heirloom tomato that dates back to 1885. A late season variety with potato leaves. An indeterminate tomato plant which produces these large red/pink beefsteak tomatoes. The weights will range from 16 oz (ca. 605 gram) – 20 oz (ca. 756 gram). These are very meaty with an old-timey and spicy taste. They would make an excellent slicer, canning, sauce, and market seller tomato. This is one of our top picks for out of all the tomatoes we grew this year. These are an indeterminate plant that is a heavy producer of these large fruits. We were just shy of reaching 1 pound (ca. 454 gram) tomatoes. They are very juicy with a sweet and fruity taste. A great tomato for slicing and popular at markets. Madison County Tomato – This is a 100-year-old large heirloom tomato from Kentucky. A late season variety with regular leave. They are an indeterminate tomato plant which produce these big pink beefsteaks. Our average weight for this tomato was over 16oz (ca. 605 gram). These fruits have an excellent balance of sweetness combined with acidity. This very meaty tomato could be used for slicing, canning, Sauces, or salads. Summertime Green Dwarf Tomato
Summertime Green Dwarf Tomato – These are a late season variety with regular rugose leaves. An indeterminate tomato plant that produces loads of these green beefsteak tomatoes. We were very happy with the production of this plant. The flavor of this tomato was complex, being sweet and a tad sour with low acidity. They almost had a sour apple candy taste to them.
