My Top 10 Favorite Dwarf Tomatoes Part 1
This blog will be the first part of a 2 part blog in Garden talk. Here we will be listing my favorite top 10 dwarf tomatoes that we have grown. These dwarf tomatoes are my favorite and made my top 10 because of several reasons. We will explain why they made my top 10 as we explain each variety.
Beauty King Dwarf Tomato – This made my top 10 for a few reasons. First reason is the flavor of these fruits with a balanced and rich. Next was because of their stunning looks, which made them very eye appealing for the markets. Lastly, was how prolific these plants were and producing fruits up to 12 oz (ca. 454 gram).
Dwarf Blazing Beauty Tomato – These made the list because of the size of them, weighing 1 pound (ca. 454 gram), which made them a hit at the markets and made an excellent slicer. Next was the flavor was unique being juicy, balanced and had a hint of smokiness to them also. They are a Determinate plant, but when they start producing it is a lot.Â
Dwarf Purple Heart Tomato – This Dwarf made the list for these reasons. First they had a juicy delicious well-balanced taste. Second had a nice large heart shape that would range in weights from 6-16oz, most were on the larger end in weight. This is a determinate, but all we can say is wow, what an awesome producing plant when they come in. You can not go wrong with this one and is very versatile what they can be used for also for slicing, canning and sauces etc.Â
Dwarf Tennessee Suited Tomato – This dwarf made the list because of its stunningly gorgeous striping and looks, which catches customers eye at the markets. Then once they taste them they experience their meaty well-balanced flavor that lingers in their mouths leaving them wanting more. These are also a Determinate plant, but a heavy producer as well.Â
Dwarf Wild Spud Leaf Tomato – This made the list of my favorite top 10 because of the shear production of this Indeterminate tomato was ridiculous, they were producing that much when they started to come in. The weights would range from 6-12oz, but make sure to stake your plants because how prolific they are. The flavor were juicy and rich and could be used in many ways, from just eating them to cooking with them.
